Personal Support Worker (PSW) – Long-Term Care (Casual)
We are currently seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to join our team on a casual basis, offering flexible shift opportunities in a 24-hour care environment.
About the Role:
As a PSW with Adapt Health Care, you will provide essential hands-on support to seniors and individuals with complex health needs. Your role will focus on assisting with daily living activities, ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life for residents in long-term care and other elder care settings.
This position offers flexibility, allowing you to choose shifts that fit your schedule while making a meaningful impact in the lives of seniors across New Brunswick.
Requirements
Certification: Must have a Personal Support Worker (PSW) certification from an accredited Canadian institution, with a minimum of 750 hours of in-person clinical experience in a long-term care setting or equivalent certification by a Canadian Institution or International Bachelors of nursing verified by WES.
Valid Driver’s License: Possess a full Class 5 driver’s license.
Reliable Transportation: Must have a dependable vehicle for commuting.
CPR/First Aid Certification: Hold a valid CPR/First Aid or Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate, issued within the last 12 months.
Experience: Previous experience working in long-term care and/or with the geriatric population is required.
Clinical & Critical Thinking Assessment: Must be able to successfully pass a comprehensive clinical skills and critical thinking assessment.
Communication & Teamwork: Demonstrates strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
